Alex Gillen is an attorney in Stuart, Florida practicing in estate planning creating wills and trusts, estate administration (probate and trust administration), real estate closings (title insurance), and business law. Alex is a graduate of Martin County High School, the University of Florida, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Oregon. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy, and a Juris Doctor. Alex formerly worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations for the Subcommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development, the Subcommittee on Transportation and Housing and Urban Development, and the full committee staff. Alex also worked for nonprofits in Stuart, Fla. advocating for stopping the discharges into the St. Lucie River, and as a litigator representing property insurance companies.
Alex is a member of the Martin County Estate Planning Council, the Real Estate Council of Martin County, serving as president, the Law Library Committee of Martin County, Kiwanis Club of Stuart, the Martin County Bar Association and the Stuart / Martin Chamber of Commerce. Alex completed the Leadership Martin County Program, and was voted as the 2025 Treasure Coast Community’s Choice Awards winner for Estate Planning and Real Estate Attorney. Alex previously served on the City of Stuart Board of Adjustment.
